Through abstract black and white images, I examine the contrast between visibility and invisibility, belonging and isolation, identity and conformity. The use of threshold and high contrast reduces each image to its most essential elements, reflecting how race is often seen in extremes, black or white. The one photo that is completely color in this portfolio showcases what each race expects me to be.
